ValhallaMC Free modded Minecraft servers

ValhallaMC is a free, modded Minecraft hosting network. We focus on building a fun, connected community where you can enjoy your favorite modpacks without any hidden fees.

Browse the live list of active servers on the Servers page, install the matching modpack and version from FTB App, CurseForge, or Technic, and connect using the IP shown for that server. Some packs may need extra mods for multiplayer — these are linked from the Servers page or in our Discord.

Rarely. If a reset is needed, we announce it early so players have time to prepare. If a server is inactive for several weeks it may be removed to make room for new packs — saved worlds are always made available on the Downloads page.

We strive to keep every item playable. Items are only restricted when they cause server instability or disrupt the experience for other players. If something doesn’t behave as expected, open a ticket in our Discord and we’ll take a look.

There’s no fixed schedule — modpack releases aren’t on a timetable, and we add new packs as soon as we can after they release.

We save the worlds from retired servers. You can download them on the Downloads page and continue your adventure locally.

Not at all. Every player gets the same gameplay experience — money never buys an in-game advantage. Running the network costs over €400 per month, which we cover to keep the servers free for everyone. Donations on Patreon (patreon.com/valhallamc) or Ko-fi (ko-fi.com/valhallamc) help, but they are entirely optional and unlock no gameplay perks.

When we need more help, we post applications in our Discord — keep an eye out for announcements there.

Servers restart periodically to maintain performance. If you experience severe or persistent lag, open a ticket in our Discord and our staff will investigate.

Most modpacks include a chunk-claim mod — typically FTB Utilities or Open Parties and Claims. Open your inventory, click the map icon in the top-left, and drag to claim chunks. On some servers, shift-click chunkloads an area; use it sparingly because chunkloading can cause lag, and it may be limited or reset on packs where it impacts performance.

We update servers as soon as possible, but occasionally delay to avoid issues with untested modpack updates, to consolidate multiple updates into one, or to keep weekend playtime uninterrupted.

All ValhallaMC servers are hosted in Germany on dedicated hardware: Ryzen 9 7950X3D / 192 GB RAM, Ryzen 9 5950X / 128 GB RAM, Ryzen 7 7700 / 128 GB RAM, and Intel i9-9900K / 128 GB RAM.
