ValhallaMC (“we”, “us”) operates valhallamc.io and a network of free, modded Minecraft servers. This page explains what data we handle, why, and the rights you have over it.
1. What we collect
- Server logs. Our web host and Cloudflare automatically log standard request data (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are kept only as long as needed for that purpose and are never used for advertising.
- In-game gameplay data. When you play on a ValhallaMC server, your Minecraft username, IP address, and basic gameplay events are processed to operate the server. Public pages (Servers, Players, Stats) only ever display your public Minecraft username and aggregate gameplay metrics.
- Community screenshots. The Showcase section embeds screenshots from our public Discord channel. Posting in that channel implies consent to display here. Contact us to request removal of a specific image.
- Donations. If you donate via Patreon or Ko-fi, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies. We see only the public donation record (display name, amount).
- Anonymous analytics. We may use a privacy-friendly analytics tool (e.g. Plausible) to count pageviews. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
2. How we use it
- Operating, securing and improving the website and the Minecraft network.
- Displaying public gameplay information (player counts, leaderboards, online lists).
- Responding to support tickets opened in our Discord.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run targeted advertising.
3. Cookies
The site itself does not set any first-party tracking cookies. Cloudflare
may set strictly-necessary security cookies (__cf_bm,
cf_clearance) to detect bots and abuse. If we ever enable an
analytics tool that uses cookies (such as Google Analytics), we will
update this section and provide a consent option.
4. Third parties
We rely on the following processors:
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, DDoS protection.
- MongoDB — gameplay and stats storage.
- Discord — community chat, support tickets, and the Showcase image source.
- Patreon, Ko-fi — donation processing.
Each of these handles your data under its own privacy policy.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and similar laws), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Open a ticket in our Discord at dc.valhallamc.io and we’ll respond within 30 days.
6. Children
ValhallaMC is open to players of all ages, but we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK without parental consent). If you believe we have, please contact us so we can remove it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
